Sunday, January 12: Fresh off his resounding KO victory over England’s Jonathan Haggerty, MuayThai superstar Rodtang Jitmuangnon is back in action on Friday the 31st of January to headline a special elite MuayThai roadshow that will take place on the paradise island of Phuket.
This will be the first-meeting between these two rock stars of the sports of professional MuayThai, expect fireworks for this matchup, or is three weeks break just a stretch too far for Rodtang to have ironman energy recharged and ready to go against the mighty Yodlekpetch?
Two old foes will rekindle their much-memorized in-ring rivalry when Seksan Or Kwanmuang takes on Thanonchai Somwangkaiyang. They have met on three previous occasions, with Thanonchai winning two and one fight ended in a draw. It is worthy to note that Seksan goes into this matchup on the back of five losses in a row. Thanonchai for his part is back and on fire since all his troubles which stopped him competing on the elite fight circuit.
Gaonor PK Saenchai will clash with Rungkit Wor Sungprapai in a matchup which gives the veteran fighter from Bangkok’s PK Saenchai gym a one round advantage. Rungkit is coming off a magnificent win over Seksan on the Rajadamnern birthday show, while Gaonor is coming off a loss on last month’s BOM event in Tokyo, Japan.
In a rematch from last month’s Lumpinee stadium super-flyweight title fight, the new champion will once again square off against the man he took the title off, Kiatmoo9 gym star fighter Rungnarai.
In yet another mouth-watering matchup, Petchsomjit from Jitmuangnon gym will collide with Satarnmuenglek Petchyindee. Two former elite stadium champions clashing in what has the makings of a sneaky elbow war.
Former Lumpinee and Channel7 stadium champion, Chalaam from Parunchai gym, will face off against Tor Saentienoi gym warrior, Chorfah. Chalaam was supposed to headline last Sunday’s Channel7 show in Bangkok, but after making weight on the morning of the fight, he then fell ill about two-hours before the show was to commence.
