Who Is Salimkhan Ibragimov?
Salimkhan Ibragimov holds dual Armenian and Russian nationality, born in Nizhnevartovsk, Russia, and now based out of Phuket, where he trains at Revolution and fights for Team Archangel Michael. Known to fans as "Wolves Fury," he's built his career the hard way — taking on world-class opposition across the WBC Muaythai and Rajadamnern World Series circuits rather than padding a record against soft competition.
A World Title Won in Thailand
In February 2023, Ibragimov challenged Brazil's Victor Hugo for the WBC Muaythai World Middleweight Title at the Amazing Muay Thai Festival in Hua Hin, Thailand. Across five rounds, Ibragimov outworked the defending champion to win by unanimous decision — and with it, the world title.
He held the belt for over a year before it was declared vacant in early 2024. It's the kind of achievement that puts a fighter's name in the record books permanently: Salimkhan Ibragimov, WBC Muaythai World Middleweight Champion, 2023.
Still Testing Himself Against the Best
A champion's pedigree doesn't come from easy fights, and Ibragimov has kept choosing the hardest ones available. In April 2026, he made his Rajadamnern World Series debut against Petchmorakot Petchyindee — the reigning Rajadamnern Stadium Middleweight Champion and one of the most decorated fighters Thailand has ever produced. The fight ended in a doctor stoppage after a cut in round four, but stepping into Rajadamnern Stadium against a champion of that caliber is exactly the kind of test that keeps a fighter sharp.
