Head Trainer
Born Somkid Rakchun on 29 June 1982 in the Khuan Khanun district of Phatthalung province, Sagadphet — ring name Sagatpetch Sor.Sakulpan — started training at just seven years old and had his first fight at eight. He went on to fight out of the Sor.Sakulpan camp in Kanchanaburi and later Ingram Gym in Bangkok, racking up a professional record of 90 wins (17 by knockout) against the toughest competition Thailand's stadiums could offer — including wins over era-defining names like Yodsanklai Fairtex and Singdam Kiatmuu9.
At the sport's two biggest venues, he became Rajadamnern Stadium Super Featherweight Champion in 2002 (with two successful defences), then a two-weight Lumpinee Stadium champion — Super Featherweight in 2005 and Lightweight in 2006 — and picked up Lumpinee's Best Wai Kru award that same year for his ring ceremony. His career also took him abroad, fighting in Japan and South Korea and competing in K-1 World MAX.
Since retiring from competition, Sagadphet has coached at Ingram Gym and Sitsongpeenong before taking the Head Trainer role at Revolution Gym, and has guest-coached internationally — including a six-month stint at Carbon Gym in Geelong, Australia, plus seminars in Japan, the UAE, China and Russia. His coaching style is built around reading each student individually: rather than running everyone through the same drills, he adapts pad work and sparring to each fighter's natural strengths, pushing beginners and title contenders alike to think and react rather than just repeat technique.
